Part I: The Way, The Truth, & The Life

From Genesis to the prophets, from the cross to the empty tomb, Scripture reveals one undeniable truth Jesus Christ is LORD over ALL!
“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:10–11 (KJV)
There is one Gospel, and at the center of that Gospel is Jesus Christ.
Jesus is not merely a good teacher. He is not an angel or another created being.
Jesus Christ is Lord.
Scripture tells us that He existed before His earthly birth, all things were created through Him and for Him, He came in the flesh, died for our sins, rose from the grave, and He lives forever.
Jesus is Lord over ALL things, in heaven and on earth. He is one with God the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah Saw His Glory
In Isaiah 6, the prophet Isaiah describes an incredible vision:
“I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.” Isaiah 6:1 (KJV)
Above Him stood seraphim crying:
“Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.” Isaiah 6:3 (KJV)
Isaiah lived roughly 700 years before the earthly birth of Jesus Christ, yet the New Testament gives us an incredible connection between Isaiah’s vision and Jesus.
In John 12, Jesus speaks about Himself as the Light and about believing in Him.
John then references the prophet Isaiah and writes:
“These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.” John 12:41 (KJV)
Jesus did not begin existing when Mary gave birth to Him in Bethlehem. His embodiment was His entrance into the world in human flesh, not the beginning of His existence.
Jesus Is Not an Angel
Hebrews 1 makes a clear distinction between Jesus Christ and the angels.
“Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.” Hebrews 1:4 (KJV)
The Father says concerning the Son:
“Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever.” Hebrews 1:8 (KJV)
And:
“Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands.” Hebrews 1:10 (KJV)
This language comes from Psalm 102, a passage speaking about the LORD as Creator.
Jesus is not an archangel. He is above the angels. Angels worship Him.
“And let all the angels of God worship him.” Hebrews 1:6 (KJV)
Scripture does not present Jesus as simply another heavenly being.
Scripture presents Him as the Son, the Creator, and Lord.

ALL Things Were Created Through Him and for Him
Colossians 1:15–17 calls Jesus the image of the invisible God and the firstborn over all creation. “Firstborn” does not mean that Jesus was the first thing God created.
The passage itself explains His supremacy...
“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible… all things were created by him, and for him.” Colossians 1:16 (KJV)
Then Scripture says:
“And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” Colossians 1:17 (KJV)
How could Jesus simply be another created being when Scripture says ALL things were created through Him and for Him?
✨I know it’s a lot to digest but please let that sit with you and go grab your bible and read all these Scriptures mentioned above and take notes.
John says the same thing:
“All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” John 1:3 (KJV)
And John begins his Gospel by declaring:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1 (KJV)
Then John tells us:
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.” John 1:14 (KJV)
Jesus existed before Bethlehem.
The eternal Word became flesh.

Jesus and the Father Are One
Jesus said:
“I and my Father are one.” John 10:30 (KJV)
Scripture reveals the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit distinctly, while revealing one God.
Jesus also prayed:
“And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.” John 17:5 (KJV)
Before the world existed, Jesus shared glory with the Father.
Jesus is eternal.
This is also why teachings that reduce Jesus to merely a created angel cannot be reconciled with the full testimony of Scripture.
Groups such as Jehovah’s Witnesses teach that Jesus is not Almighty God and identify Him with Michael the archangel. Yet Hebrews 1 deliberately breaks down the Son from angels, while John and Colossians identify Christ as the One through whom creation came into existence.
We must allow Scripture and the Holy Spirit to explain and reveal to us who Jesus is rather than changing Scripture to fit what we have already decided to believe.
If you made it to the end, we want thank you so much for being here on this journey with us.
Please always remember you don’t have to fully believe to be apart of this community, you just have to be open to the hands of God operating within you to change you from the inside out.
