Meet DeVonn – Founder of The Surrendered Walk

Early Life & Background

I am the founder and creator of The Surrendered Walk, a Christian-based platform dedicated to sharing truth, encouragement, healing, and spiritual growth through real-life experiences and biblical teaching. My heart is to help people draw closer to Jesus Christ by creating a space where faith meets everyday life through honest conversations, testimonies, reflection, and discipleship.

I was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida, and at the age of 18, I joined the United States Army. After faithfully serving my country for many years, I retired from military service in 2019 and chose to remain in the Augusta area. Here, I continue serving others through my civilian career, ministry, and community involvement.

Today, I am a wife, a mother of three daughters, a veteran, and a civilian employee for the U.S. Army at Fort Gordon, where I work in training and development. Alongside my professional and academic journey in adult education, I am committed to serving others through writing, teaching, encouragement, and discipleship. I also faithfully serve at Greater Missions Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Micheal T. Weaks and Lady Crystal Weaks.

More About DeVonn

What began as my own personal journaling and moments of surrender to God has grown into a worldwide blog community reaching readers from all different walks of life.

Through The Surrendered Walk, I write about topics many people struggle to discuss openly — faith, obedience, marriage, parenting, spiritual warfare, repentance, healing, discipline, relationships, and learning how to fully surrender to God in a culture that often encourages compromise.

My heart is not to present a perfect image of Christianity, but to point people toward a real relationship with Jesus Christ through transparency, biblical truth, grace, accountability, and love. I believe transformation happens when we are willing to surrender completely to God and allow Him to refine every area of our lives.

Today, The Surrendered Walk continues to grow through blog posts, Bible studies, community engagement, and encouragement rooted in Scripture — all with one mission:

To help people walk with Christ wholeheartedly — not perfectly, but surrendered.

Meet Te’Asha – Co-Writer at The Surrendered Walk

Early Life & Foundation

Meet Te'Asha Curtis-Heard, co-writer.

My name is Te’Asha Heard. Born and raised in Augusta, I am a woman of faith who believes that the Word of God is the only true and firm foundation for life. In a world filled with opinions, uncertainty, and shifting values, I am committed to standing on God’s truth and encouraging others to do the same. My desire is not simply to inspire people with my words, but to point them back to Scripture so they can encounter God for themselves.

Calling, Service & Today

I am a proud graduate of Hephzibah High School and Augusta University, where I earned my Master’s in Public Administration. As an intercessor, wife, mother, leader, and servant, I am passionate about living a life rooted in faith, obedience, wisdom, and purpose.

I am also honored to serve faithfully at The Remnant City Church Augusta Inc. under the divine leadership of Pastor William and Lady Michelle Knox.

More About  Te'Asha

Through this blog, I share encouragement, reflections, and biblical insight designed to strengthen, challenge, and empower others in their walk with God. Every post is created with the prayer that readers will grow deeper in their relationship with Christ and develop a hunger for His Word.

This is more than a blog — it is a space for truth, growth, healing, and spiritual foundation. My prayer is that every person who visits leaves inspired to seek God, study His Word for themselves, and build their life on the unshakable foundation of Jesus Christ.
