Philippians 4:6-7

(NLT) 6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Ask yourself…

What does my storm look like right now?

What are my stressors?

Think about the afflictions that has happened—or are currently happening—that have caused you to question your decisions, your direction, or even yourself.

Now, you maybe asking, “Why would you have me think about this…?

I am not trying to think about that right now, there is just too much going on.”

But friend, let me help you understand something… it’s NECESSARY!

Why? Because we need to get to the root? And when I say “root,” I mean the real thing underneath it all: fear, pressure, people-pleasing, control, disappointment, grief— whatever keeps pulling you back into the same cycle.

Yeah! No more cycles. No more covering it up. No more “I’ll deal with it later.” NOW is later—because while that may be your answer for the moment, you’re failing to realize that you’re becoming susceptible to a storm God has not destined for you to BE in let alone LIVE in.

Your peace is IMPORTANT.

Say: “My Peace is Important.”

Nooooo!!! That was weak SAY IT LIKE YOU MEAN IT—LIKE YOU KNOW IT—WITH POWER: “MY PEACE IS IMPORTANT!”

Much better.

We have to identify ways and things that bring us peace UNAPOLOGETICALLY—NO REGRETS!! Not because we’re selfish, but because peace protects us. Peace keeps us steady. Peace keeps us sensitive to God’s voice.

We oftentimes ponder on asking ourselves questions like:

How did we get here?

How did we get in a place where we allow what other people think—or need from us—to affect how we feel about ourselves… because we think it is the right thing to do.

Wisdom: Is knowing and understanding that life is going to life and their is absolutely NOTHING we can do to stop what life is going to throw at us. But we can choose where we run when life starts lifting. We can look to the hills from which cometh our help.

Philippians 4:11-13 (NLT)

11 Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have.

12 I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.

13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

In this verse Apostle Paul has found contentment that is not tied to circumstances—a peace where he has allowed Holy Spirt to take full control of his life and has moved completely out of God’s way. He’s no longer fighting for control; he’s surrendered. He’s allowing God’s will to be done in him and through him, because he understands that the promises of the Lord are YES and AMEN, and His Word holds truth and adds no sorrow.

Hallelujah!!!

We must learn to be content—grateful for what we have—and understand that our strength comes from Christ, not from comfort, money, or control.

That’s the power to overcome what is going on around us: to find that satisfaction, to find stability, to find that PEACE in the midst of the storm.

We’re gone run ourselves crazy trying to be God—trying to fix everything and help everyone. That is NOT His purpose for our lives.

MOVE out of God’s way.

God wants us to bring everything to Him in prayer and then allow HIM to do it. Why? So we can continue to testify and have more and more good news to spread the gospel to the world. When God does it, nobody can deny it.

His Word reminds us in Pslams 34:17-19 NIV

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.

Lord I thank you!

Allow me to breakdown what happens when I carry it verses when I surrender it to God:

Chaotic

Peace

Overwhelmed

Comfort

Confusion

Clarity

Indirection

Wisdom

So how is God going to do it for you?

Through prayer, consecration (fasting), and faith. And as you continue on your journey through surrendered walk, God’s peace will guard your heart and your mind—right in the middle of the storm. Always remember YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! God does not call the equip, He equips the called!!

Peace and Blessing,

Surrendered Walk

Hallelujah sis! I am on this journey of fully surrendering everything and everyone to God in prayer. We will literally wear ourselves out trying to be a super hero trying to be “Jesus” in people life. We must fall all the way back and pray and release. Stay in our lanes and constantly pray for the Holy Spirit to align us with the Will of the Lord. This blessed me! Thank you
