Have you ever noticed how often people say things like, “I’m sending you good vibes,” “I’m sending positive energy,” or “I’m manifesting good things for you”?
These phrases have become so common that many people never stop to ask where these ideas come from or whether they align with God’s Word.
As followers of Jesus, we’re called to examine every belief and practice through the lens of Scripture, not culture.
The Bible never teaches believers to send “good vibes,” positive energy, or spiritual forces to one another. Instead, it teaches us to pray.
When someone is hurting, we don’t send energy, we pray.
When someone is sick, we don’t manifest healing, we pray.
When someone is struggling, we don’t rely on vibrations or the universe, we go before the throne of God in the name of Jesus Christ.
“Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray… Is anyone sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him…”
James 5:13–16 (NKJV)
Our hope is not in energy.
Our hope is not in the universe.
Our hope is not in vibrations.
Our hope is in the living God.
The Holy Spirit is not an energy or a force that we manipulate. He is the third Person of the Trinity, God Himself, who dwells in those who belong to Christ
(John 14:16–17; 1 Corinthians 6:19).

Have you also seen how the world (culture) persistently attempts to merge Jesus with elements of witchcraft? Jesus and crystals. Jesus and horoscopes. Jesus and tarot cards. Jesus and sage. Jesus and manifestation. Jesus and psychics. Jesus and mediums.
Sometimes they don’t even say ,“Jesus” they’ll just say, “God” or “Lord.”
But the truth is, you cannot mix the holy with the unholy. Light and darkness cannot coexist.
"And what communion has light with darkness?... Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?"
2 Corinthians 6:14-15 (NKJV)
One of Satan's greatest strategies isn't always getting people to reject Jesus outright. Sometimes it's convincing people they can follow Jesus while still participating in practices that God has clearly forbidden. That is deception.
The Bible never presents witchcraft, sorcery, divination, or consulting mediums as harmless, entertaining, or beneficial. God consistently warns His people to stay away from these practices because they open the door to spiritual deception.
"There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord."
Deuteronomy 18:10-12 (NKJV)
The enemy wants people to believe they are using these practices for healing, peace, protection, love, guidance, or helping others. But Satan has always disguised darkness as something good.
"And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light."
2 Corinthians 11:14 (NKJV)
Just because something looks harmless doesn't mean it comes from God.

There are only two kingdoms: the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness. There is no neutral kingdom.
That's why believers should not seek spiritual answers through dream catchers, crystals believed to have spiritual power, burning sage for spiritual cleansing, tarot cards, palm readings, psychics, mediums, horoscopes, zodiac signs, manifestation, spells, or any other form of divination.
These things don't bring you closer to God, they teach you to depend on something other than Him.
People often ask, "What's wrong with wanting to know my future?"
The answer is simple.
Your future belongs to God.
The devil does not know your future only God does. He cannot rewrite God's plans for your life. Unless you literally give him an open door to your life through sin. This is why it’s so important to expose all the sin in your heart and let the Lord through the Holy Ghost, help you wring it out.
What Satan does know is your past.
He knows your wounds, your weaknesses, and your patterns.
He studies people in order to deceive them, accuse them, and manipulate them into believing lies.
But only God declares the end from the beginning.
"Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, 'My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure.'"
Isaiah 46:10 (NKJV)

God knew you before you were born.
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you..."
Jeremiah 1:5 (NKJV)
Anytime you feel attacked and tempted, trust and believe that the Lord has given you a way out. All you have to do is call on Jesus and believe in your heart and mind that He will bring you out.
Your purpose, identity, and future are not hidden in tarot cards or astrology.
They are found in Jesus Christ.
As believers, we don't need hidden knowledge because we've been given the Holy Spirit.
"However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth..."
John 16:13 (NKJV)
We don't need psychics because we have God's Word.
"Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path."
Psalm 119:105 (NKJV)
This matters because the enemy often repackages old forms of deception with modern language. Practices rooted in divination, occult spirituality, or New Age beliefs are often presented as harmless, empowering, or even loving. But God’s people are called to exercise discernment.
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God…”
1 John 4:1 (NKJV)
Everything that claims to be spiritual is not from the Holy Spirit.
That is why this conversation matters.
This isn’t about condemning people. It’s about pointing people to Jesus Christ, who alone is the source of truth, life, peace, and salvation. As believers, we don’t put our trust in spiritual practices or unseen energies. We put our trust in the Lord, and we pray according to His will, believing that He alone has the power to hear, answer, heal, deliver, and save.

Who This Message Is For
This blog isn’t just for mature believers. It’s also for those who believe in God but are still learning who Jesus truly is. It’s for those who are reading the Bible for the first time, asking questions, seeking truth, or trying to understand what it really means to follow Christ.
If that’s you, welcome.
The purpose of this blog is not to condemn you or make you feel bad. It’s to lovingly point you to the truth found in God’s Word.
Many people have participated in practices like astrology, tarot cards, crystals, horoscopes, psychics, mediums, manifestation, burning sage for spiritual cleansing, or other forms of divination simply because they didn’t know what the Bible says about them. Others have been told these practices are harmless, positive, or even “godly.” But God’s Word tells us otherwise.
Jesus said,
“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 8:32 (NKJV)
Our desire is simply to shine the light of God’s truth into places where the enemy has sown deception.
From the very beginning, Satan’s strategy has never changed. In the Garden of Eden, he twisted God’s Word to deceive Eve (Genesis 3:1–5). He continues using that same tactic today, mixing just enough truth with lies to lead people away from complete dependence on Jesus Christ.
Scripture warns us:
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…”
Hosea 4:6 (NKJV)

This is why knowing God’s Word is so important. We are not called to build our beliefs on culture, trends, personal experiences, or what “feels right.” We are called to build our lives on the truth of Scripture.
Whether you have been following Jesus for decades or are simply curious about Him today, I encourage you to open your Bible and examine these things for yourself. Don’t believe something simply because it’s popular or widely accepted. Test everything against God’s Word.
“Test all things; hold fast what is good.”
1 Thessalonians 5:21 (NKJV)
This blog is not about attacking people. It is about exposing deception and pointing people to the One who is Truth.
Jesus declared,
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:6 (NKJV)
We cannot come to the Father by any other way than Jesus Christ. We cannot reach Him through deceased disciples, deceased saints, or anyone else who has died. Scripture is clear that Jesus alone is our mediator.
“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.”
1 Timothy 2:5 (NKJV)
Instead of drawing us closer to God, these practices can open the door for the enemy to work through deception. Satan’s goal has always been to turn our trust away from Christ and toward counterfeit spiritual practices. When we knowingly or unknowingly participate in practices that contradict God’s Word, we give the enemy an opportunity to operate through deception and keep us from the freedom found in Christ.
“Nor give place to the devil.”
Ephesians 4:27 (NKJV)
If this blog helps even one person recognize deception, turn away from darkness, and place their trust fully in Jesus Christ, then all glory belongs to God.
