Believe in God’s Word and Know it’s TRUE

Hebrews 3:19 ERV‬‬

[19] So we see that they were not allowed to enter and have God’s rest, because they did not believe.

Hebrews 3:19 shows us that unbelief kept the Israelites from entering God’s rest. God’s rest is not simply the absence of problems; it is the peace that comes from trusting Him instead of living in fear, striving, doubt, or self-reliance.

I believe in God’s word because I know it to be true.

Knowing means having verifiable facts or direct experience, while believing means accepting something as true without definitive proof.

Knowing takes an encounter whether personally or as a witness. We know God to be a healer but do we believe it? Why do you believe it because He healed you or because His word says in Isaiah 53:5 KJV “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Better yet have you allowed Him to heal you because understand He can only heal what you are willing to reveal. We know God to be a lot of great things I mean it’s immeasurable how great and mighty He is. What is God to you and once you establish who he is to you. I then want you to make a list and ask yourself I mean really ask yourself if you just believe Him to be that or you truly know He is that.

Because the word says He told the disciples that when they ask who He is, tell them "I am" Exodus 3:14

For we know Him to be the Great I Am, but do we believe he is the Great I Am. Yahweh

Prayer,

My Father ruler of ALL nations Heaven and Earth please help me to believe in your word allowing your word to be all the proof I need to know it’s true. For I worship you in spirit and in truth. And the word declares that your word is true and adds no sorrow. That you are not a man who will lie, nor son of man that you should repent for the promises you have for me are Yes and Amen. Oh God help us not to just know your word but we want to believe in your word so we can be doers of the word. Applying the word to our daily life allowing it to shape us mold us transition us for your greater good. For I am your believer your humble servant you are my faithful friend and in everything I do, everything I say may you be glorified, may you be lifted high I thank you for your word that reminds us that who the Son sets free is free INDEED. Hallelujah!! Amen.

It’s just something about when you just believe in something how easily the mind can be changed. Like I know I am supposed to pray, read my word every day, go to church on Sundays, Bible Study on Wednesdays but please allow me to help you with something because some of us have fallen into a religious routine of waking, praying, reading, attending but not believing in what we just read or what we just heard, want to know how I know you don't believe it because you don't apply it, want to know how I know you don't apply it? because you are still bound, still worried, still stressed, still depressed, still anxious and let me add a side bar right here, because we love to pray against these things , as we should, but remember faith without works is dead.

Anxiety revealed an area where I knew God’s Word but had not fully trusted Him. I had to move from knowing His promises to acting on them.

Can I testify? Proverbs 18:10- The name of the Lord is a strong tower the righteous run in and they are saved. Lord, I thank you!! I used to struggle with anxiety and it would always show up when it was time to make a decision. I would get so overwhelmed, I would shutdown be invited places and won't go rather just stay home and isolate, it was easier that way. But one day I was invited somewhere and I had made up in mind no matter what I was going. Found myself again in the middle of too many choices and I just couldn't figure out what to do. Time was winding down and I am realizing that if I don't make a decision I am going to be late. Now I am worried about what people would think of me if I am late, but still remember I have not made a decision and time is winding down.

What I am saying is allow EVERYTHING to lead you to God, because it was through anxiety that lead me to call on Jesus. The Holy Spirit would make me aware it was anxiety and guess what I did started calling on His name, using my God given authority, and came against it while speaking the word over my life, over my circumstance. All the while calling on my Intercessor my big brother Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus I need you Jesus Jesus Jesus in that I not only knew who could help but I believed with everything in me.

In that moment, I was learning to enter God’s rest not because the situation changed immediately, but because I chose to trust Him in the middle of it. I knew He not only could do it for me, but He would do it for me.

Why?

Cause I belong to him!!!!

And guess what He did?? EVERY TIME, RIGHT ON TIME SNATCHING ME OUT THE GRIPS OF THE ENEMY CATCHING ME BEFORE I fell deeper and became depressed feeling rejected and unaccepted.

You know Him to be a comforter but how many of us believe He is because He did it for you? He said I will protect you, I will love you, I will accept you, I will choose you.

We know He left the 99 for the 1 but do we believe we are that 1 he left the 99 for that we are not chasing we are chosen?

Feeling anxious does not mean we have no faith. However, anxiety can reveal where God is inviting us to surrender and trust Him more deeply.

I say all of that to say pay attention ask God to reveal what takes you down that path of destruction for me it was being indecisive unable to make a decision, my God! And don't let time be a factor as well and Hear me CLEARLY NOW it would be something so simple as what to wear? Yeah many of you are still fighting that battle and would even allow not having nothing to wear to stop you from going somewhere, come on lets be real. STOP letting the enemy change your mind and set your mind on things above.

BECAUSE doesn't His word say trust in the Lord with ALL not some, ALL your heart and lean NOT on your own understandings?

I went to a conference recently and Pastor Ortha Turnbough said something so profound, that the Holy Spirit is our helper who is literally next to us to guide us and direct us every day, every hour, every minute, every second, and we need to ask the Holy Spirit about everything.

Make no decisions out of flesh or even without consulting the Holy Spirit. He used the example of the GPS my God and how even when we make the wrong turn the GPS does what “recalculate” even if we end up miles from where God intends for us to go, that GPS gone keep recalculating until you get back in alignment until you get back on the things of God until you get back everything you lost in the past.

But let me show you how goog God is because even when you're off track, out of place, and out of alignment. He is still with you, waiting on you to put His destination for your life back in the GPS , so it take you where He intended for you to go in the first place. What’s so graceful and merciful about it, is He doesn’t even bring up how far off track you were.

Many of us want to dwell in our failures and we do that because we only know God's word. When we believe it to be true and then apply it TO EVERYTHING, nothing can change our minds about it.

Hebrews 3:19 reminds us that unbelief kept them from entering God’s rest. My prayer is that we will not only know God’s Word, but believe it enough to obey, surrender, and rest in Him.
